Wigan Pier

We stopped overnight near Wigan on our way back from SE England, and thought we'd take a look at Wigan Pier after breakfast this morning, before heading on home to NE Scotland.

And this is it! After being 'transformed' in the 1980's into a tourist attraction, it now appears to be slumbering, awaiting a new lease of life in the coming years.
