St. Benet's

Our last day on The Broads and I took the opportunity to have a look around the only English Monastery to avoid the dissolution of the Monastery's by Henry VIII, who handed the running over to Norwich. This 18th Century Windmill was built into the ruins of the Gate House to the Abbey. The Abbey was abandoned in around 1545 but the Bishop of Norwich is still considered to be the Abbot. There is some beautifully rendered (as well as some crudely rendered) graffiti inside the Windmill, of which I took some shots. When I learn how to link them, I will!!
