Martello tower?

Dropped by this tower on the way back along the French north coast near Abbeville.

Possibly an old 'Martello' tower or small defensive tower marked 1587. I turned up a small rough farm track - just a small deviation to take advantage of the Land Rover to cut a corner on the map and take in the tower enroute. As I approached the resident Peregrine took flight and went and sat on a telephone pole a few hundred yards down the track. I decided against trampling the farmers crops to get to the tower and also possibly disturb the nesting Peregrine's so took my pictures and let it get back to it's home. It had more patience than I did, so no pictures of the Peregrine on the tower I'm afraid.
