Gannets

As a finale to our weekend away, we headed to the East coast and the only mainland gannet colony at RSPB Bempton Cliffs.
This is a lovely section of the coast path, running up along the edge of the cliffs, and you can look down on great flocks of circling gannets, kittiwakes and fulmars.
It was the most beautiful sunny morning with a light breeze blowing, wild flowers and bumblebees.
Then back across the Pennines and into the rain!
