Reaching to Heaven

We went to see Macbeth at The Picture House this evening, live from The Globe Theatre. It was very good, although the audience at the cinema was surprisingly small. On the way home we went to the Memorial Gardens where a candlelight vigil was being held between 10pm and 11pm in remembrance of World War I. I took some photos but my night photography is not very good, especially by candlelight, without a tripod so I’m giving you this one for Mono-Monday.

They are finally building on the waste land at the bottom of our road, featured here. A couple of houses and some apartment blocks set in an area about the size of our back garden (maybe a slight exaggeration!). One of the houses has already been sold for a cool £340k off plan. The development is called Old Town Gardens, which is a bit of a misnomer as there will only be enough room for a car park and certainly not any gardens.
