Eccentricity

To me this is the ultimate in eccentricity but I love it. When you arrive you are greeted by serried ranks of caravans and gazebos. Each has in front of it one or more stationary engines all popping and puttering away, quite a few of them driving little pumps endlessly circulating water.

The vast majority have been rescued in various states of decrepitude from the outbuildings or scrapheaps of a farm or small business and then lovingly restored to their present gleaming state. I absolutely love it, and I spent quite a bit of time looking at each one and reading the potted histories that are usually there.
