Atrium with a View

I was home alone with my daughter today and felt a little cabin fever coming on. So off to the city we went. We spent the afternoon at the Museum of Science. Everything about the visit -- traffic, parking, crowds, lines -- reminded me why I don't like to do this kind of thing on weekends and am lucky to be able to go on week days. By late afternoon, however, the crowds cleared, and the winter sunlight lit up the Boston skyline and the iced-over Charles River before filtering into the museum's atrium. Just the change of scenery we needed.
