Silent Squares

A stay-at-home, lazing by the pool and reading day - finished an absorbing book: The Man in the White Sharkskin Suit, Lucette Lagnado, beautifully written, about a Jewish family forced to leave their plush lifestyle in Cairo to become penniless refugees in New York (was recommended by a Blipper).

Went into our local village for food and internet, but got accosted by a crazy, drunk guy who managed to kiss my daughter on both cheeks (and tried with me) - so have driven to the town the other way. Beautiful, quiet squares - though jumped out of my skin when all the bells in town started clanging 8 o'clock.
