Metallic fly

I'm unsure what kind of fly this is even though I have researched it in my books and on the web but perhaps someone can tell me. It doesn't seem to have the body of a blue bottle fly which is the closest, or is green?
Its thorax looks fascinating with the dots and it is even possible to see reflections on its shiny metallic like body. (in large)
