The plum tree

I bought this tree 3 years ago. The first year it did nothing (as expected), the second year it had about 6 fruits (all of which fell off before becoming ripe) but this year I am very pleased to see about 30 plums, all of which I think will be edible.
I am amazed that the pigeons, who picked the cherry tree bare, haven't touched these.
