Moorhen

Lovely lunch today at the recently opened cafe at Gordon Castle in Fochabers (and was served drinks by the Laird's wife no less!) with a dear friend who has had a wee bit of a tough time. Good to catch up and know that he is hanging in there.

He is also an authority in the history of the area, and I got some great stories as we went for a wander round the lake, where we found this young moorhen and its siblings.
