Cricket-themed bench

This bench is right next to The Guildhall. Really no idea why it is there - it looks quite incongruous.

The quote written on the bench is by Alan Knott, and reads:

"Preserve the concentration over the whole fielding session by switching it off and on. In other words relax between deliveries between overs and between throw-ins but - when the time comes - lock your mind into the job of catching the ball"
