Hand delivered

Meandering around the neighbourhood hand delivering invites when I began to wonder....

Is this socially acceptable or is this uncouth? Does hand delivering, A) add a personal touch or B) convey cheapness to not afford the stamp.

Are there rules for hand delivering? If so which era of 'deportment & protocol' should I take the advice from? Does it differ with event, circumstance or how well you know someone? I'm sure there's more to it than just geographical distance.

Whatever the case, the 3 in question made their target audience (even if Gav did seen miffed by it all, but that's a story for another day) & the rest really are in the mail.

PS: in Australia if you don't put the international stamps on the mail for OS, it will cost you more due to GST. Now I know.
