Village shopping

Who would want to shop in a supermarket when there is a village centre like this available? We are so lucky to have a greengrocer, two butchers and a wet fishmonger as well as two small supermarkets. This village is better provided for than many a town. Many might query why we call such a large community a village and not a town, but apart from its size, every other feature proclaims it as a village. Its history, its compact shopping area and its great community spirit are all characteristics of a village. We love it, and that's why we've been here for forty-seven years.

This is my 800th consecutive blip. Some days I nearly miss out, when ideas are thin on the ground, but then I can't bear the thought of not keeping it up. It has become a way of life.
