Ann's ramblings

Tsuru

We saw a fantastic Fringe show, Taiko Ikki. I love Japanese drumming and this show is the best I've ever seen.

The performers waited to greet everyone after the show and one of them gave me this beautiful paper crane, or Tsuru in Japanese.

The crane is a symbol of long life as Japanese folklore believes the crane to live for 1,000 years. The crane is also a symbol of happiness, good luck and peace.
