The Street That Leads Nowhere.

Across Western Harbour from Ocean Terminal, the housing development of Platinum Point formed a large part of the regeneration and redevelopment of the area around Leith Docks, but was left unfinished when the developers went into administration in 2008.

Although a thriving community exists at this terminus of the LRT number 10 service, much of the undeveloped land has lain fallow for years, fenced off for safety reasons with pallets and bulding debris overgrown like a microcosm of dystopian waste; roads and pavements ending abruptly with the world financial crisis.

That being said however, much of the land over by the deserted lighthouse on the breakwater has been carefully landscaped to provide a haven of parkland just shy of the sea, with a large pond protectively fenced so that the many species of birds and other flora and fauna can live peacefully, umolested by man and dog.
