Porty People and Places

Here is The Portobello Piano Man.

He lost his Court Case on Monday and has had to leave the beach by the end of today.
He plans a migration towards Seton Sands. He was sorry to be leaving this beach that has been his home, and home for his possessions , including a trombone and a piano.
As we walked by on the way to The Beach House to celebrate our son in law's birthday the piano man trumpeted a farewell to Porty using a no waiting traffic cone. A symbolic conclusion to his five month sojourn on our sands.

I admire his spirit and his attitude but recognise that if there is a law to say that no one may camp on the beach then it must mean no one and by tomorrow he will have gone. There was a posse of professional snappers to chronicle his piano being removed from the beach this afternoon as we came down to build sandcastles and have more sunny beach fun with our wee grandson.

I have, like a tabloid newspaper, changed my blip journal, from my original subject today which TIGGY has kindly published on her journal Out of Water. This event promises to be a major source of interest at 0630 and 2030 tomorrow, Saturday and Sunday. The rehearsals have looked fascinating and Skye who features in Tiggy's Journal is promoting the event. If you wish to join it the promenade performance begins at The Joppa Bandstand. I will Blip a further report on this in tomorrow's Journal entry.
