The Sweetie Shop

This must be one of the most popular shops in Southwold. It's been here for years and visited on an almost daily basis by at least one of us.

I took this shot earlyish in the day (before the crowds arrived). To be honest, it was sunny at this point but the weather forecast was predicting a stormy decline as the day wore on so I nipped out to get a sunny blip....

....didn't rain, stayed warm and mostly sunny. It's nice when the forecast is wrong the right way, if you get my drift. To be fair, the sea was a bit rough and very few braved the beach today.

Anyway, back to the sweetie shop. Customer service is excellent - the staff remember one family member year after year, correctly reaching out for the required sweetie jar before it's been asked for!

Dined al fresco with chips and ice cream on the pier.
