Life in Newburgh on Ythan

Faded glory

Back to reality today - Mrs T has bravely tackled a mountain of washing (mainly hers I might add), and I have tackled our silage field lawn. It is but a small lawn but after 4 weeks of unfettered growth it put up a fierce defence against my onslaught.

Before we set off on our hols I sowed some poppy seeds that an inn keeper gave to me on our last trip to Nova Scotia, 14 years ago! Much to my amazement they seem to have put on quite a show in our absence. Here is one in all its faded glory.
