Pools of Reflection

In cricketing terms, it was a case of rain stopped play today.

While smoking a contemplative cigarette on the back deck, my gaze settled on the maple tree reflected in a pool of water. First attempts were with the little Leica. I then turned to the Canon 40D and saw these two pools near the steps leading down to the lawn.

And the rest, as they say, is history.
