Hog roast

If you're going to have a hog roast, as friends Charles and Toni did today, it's handy to have a friend like Terry the Tooth. Terry (he's a dentist) has a hog-roasting kit, welded together many years ago by a Polish friend - note the car steering-wheel. Terry was up with the larks wiring the pig to the spit then roasting it over coals until guests started arriving at lunchtime. Pippa thought it was the best kind of party.

Pork, crackling and apple-sauce washed down with a few pints of Hogs Back TEA. Nice.
