First sun

This was the scene down the garden at 7.45 am. It's been wonderful to have some time off this last fortnight - given good weather the sun stays on the garden for nearly eleven hours. Not quite that today but more than we were expecting from the forecast. The only distraction was a frantic wren who was giving a warning call throughout the day; there must be a nest nearby. The poor thing is surely exhausted!
