Gold-dusted

Ten years ago this week our daughter was married at Chester Zoo. Yes . . . we were a little sceptical when we were told about the venue! However, she had always been keen on animals and this was the place they had chosen for their special day. And what a wonderful day it was. The ceremony was beautiful, taking place in the elegant old building in the grounds of the zoo. There followed a really enjoyable reception, including a barbecue on the pretty sunny verandah. One of the best things though was that during the waiting time between ceremony and reception, whilst photos were taken, everyone could have a wander round the zoo itself.

So here we were today, ten years later, celebrating the anniversary with family and friends . . . at London Zoo. And what a wonderful day our son-in-law had organised. Lots of animals to visit, space for children to run about, glorious sunshine. And a fabulous champagne picnic lunch. Wow! was the cry when the very special raspberry brownies were unveiled. Dusted in gold - as was the day, reflecting the day ten years ago - also gold dusted.

With much love to you both.
