Light up the sky!

We arrived in Lyme Regis today after a very slow journey down the M5.

From the lounge window we could see the firework display being held as the finale to Carnival week. It looked really good. After watching it for about 5 mins I thought I would grab the camera and see what I could capture. It is the first time I have taken photos of fireworks without a tripod. I took about 7 shots. This was the best.

As soon as the display finished it started to rain! Talk about timing. Weathermen are forecasting a bad storm passing through tonight and tomorrow. Looks they finished the carnival just in time! In the meantime - batten down the hatches!
