Leaf glow

It has been a domestic chores kind of a day, apart from a quick trip to my son and daughter-in-law's to collect their dog and bring him back here as our weekend lodger, while they go to a christening in Yorkshire. So we have the mild chaos of two big dogs and a disgruntled cat it the house. It was also Raoul the snake's twice monthly feeding day, so at least one animal is very happy tonight.

As I sat down for some coach potato time this evening, the sinking sun cast a golden glow through the leaves of a favourite houseplant. I love this architectural-looking plant, a kind of large-leaved begonia, for its gorgeous colour and dramatic veining. Time for sleep now. If the forecast is correct, it could be stormy tomorrow.
