Golden gorse

Gorse is the scourge of New Zealand. Brought in by early settlers as a hedge plant it soon took over whole hillsides and needs to be kept under control or we will be one great golden, but scratchy nation. Our native plants just can't over power it.
It does add to this lagoon scene but it is short lived. I'm taking my spade next trip.
