Testing the x-t1

The Fujifilm x-t1 and the new 18-135 Fujinon lens are claimed to be weather proof. I was able to test them out today when Basil and I went for our walk around Nanpantan Reservoir in the remnants of Hurricane Bertha. Thank goodness the wind wasn't high.

Even the path was under 10 cm of water.

Up by the bridge, a black duck nosed out quickly followed by four small ducklings. I saw a pair of black tufted ducks on the water several months ago but this was proof that they must have stayed around and produced a brood.

I've left the space at the top to show the splashes caused by the raindrops. Needless to say, Basil and I were soaked. But the x-t1 seems to have passed the test.
