Rodents rule

All lit up

The gate and monuments in West Norwood Cemetery are now lit up at night.

The architect of the gate and indeed the layout of the cemetery was Sir William Tite, President of the Royal Institute of British Architects. This was the first Gothic cemetery.

Tite also designed the Royal Exchange, as well as many railway stations.

He is interred in the catacombs of the cemetery.
