Rose of Sharon

This is an unusual blue Rose of Sharon - it is covered with buds, these two are the first to open. The bees and butterflies love it.

Another beautiful day - sunny, warm, breezy. After church I ventured out for an exploration of a nearby town. It is populated in the summer mostly by people from Philadelphia and other farther areas. In the winter there are a few year round residents, but most of the homes are seasonal. I don't go there often and have never actually driven all around the town. It reminds me of a town at the shore - cottages, lovely landscaping, very cozy. It turns out that there was an arts and crafts festival there today so the traffic was heavy, both sides of the streets were parked full, so I walked a little, but decided to go back in the fall when it is not so busy.

I stopped at the snack shop of the World's End State Park and indulged in a cheeseburger for lunch. Then back to home to finish chores. All in all a very nice day.
