Aliens in the garden

Started the day with a nice lie in followed by Pilates - much better than dashing off for a train.

Pottered around the house and the garden as husband has hurt his leg and isn't up to much walking. I found these on an iris leaf and was intrigued by them. On close examination, and much magnifying of the image, I think they are a the pupae of a parasitic wasp that might have eaten their way out of the remnants of the caterpillar to the top right. Very creepy looking.

Our broadband connection failed during the morning - amazing how much we missed it - no catch up TV or radio podcasts to listen to and no blipping either. An engineer will turn up on Monday we are told. Nice to catch up on some more squares on my barmy knitted blanket.

Treated ourselves to an Indian takeaway for tea. Nice to have a quiet day after a busy week.
