Dragon Boat Practice....

oh just what I needed, very badly!

it was a glorious evening out on the river.....perfect weather, only half a boat so we had to work a bit harder! it was lovely to be partnered with Ruth, who i discovered only moved here in April, and low and behold, moved from St. Thomas, Ontario....this is only 1/2 hour from where i used to live before i moved here....weird or what!!! She also had a very interesting connection to Pinecroft, where i worked and shared studio space for almost 2 years before i moved here.

a nice combination of quiet paddling, a little nattering....and then a lovely dinner at a new (to me) chinese place close by where we paddle, which is a huge bonus. i'm usually so hungry and tired that the 10 minute drive to my usual haunt is sometimes a bit daunting. plus the fact that the past few times i've gone there it is too noisy and i've had to wait a long time for my food. this place was exactly what i needed!

home now, and almost off to bed!
