An historic gathering place

The village castle has always been a favourite meeting spot for teenagers. The tower is particularly good as there's a semi-circular shelf which is just the job for a bit of privacy with friends.

The rescued swift here went to the rescue centre where they found that it had a broken shoulder and had to put it to sleep. A sad end for this beautiful bird.
