The sun came out today and daughter decided she wanted to go to Vane Farm, sorry, Loch Leven, RSPB reserve and as she been looking after grandson no3 in the morning thought it would be good to bring him, too. It was really nice to have all 3 together.
We wandered down to the hides and looked for wildflowers and butterflies, and managed to catch a few in a provided net. There was a sheet with flowers and we found all that could be expected at this time of year, and a few more.
There weren't a lot of birds to be seen easily but enough to satisfy and the highlight was a glossy ibis on it's holidays - why it chose Scotland rather than southern Europe I don't know.
Afterwards we shared cake and the boys had 3 straws in a bottle of juice so I had to get a photo.
