Pointillist Rain View

At least four inches of rain fell today in Northampton. This is a view through my the screen of my study window, down to the street. View it large to be dazzled by it. There's a red car parked to the right, and to the left along the street are various trash objects waiting in vain to be picked up.

We had it easy relative to Long Island: Islip, outside of New York City, got over 13 inches (33 cm)--six inches in one hour.
