The Brahms Viola Sonatas

Tonight we are delighted to have at Mackintosh Queen's Cross the collaboration of Violinist/Violist Feargus Hetherington with the outstanding Manchester-based pianist Benjamin Powell in a special recital of the two Brahms Viola Sonatas.

This final chamber music by Johannes Brahms is beautiful and mystical. Both strong and vulnerable, the Sonatas are laced with sublime melodies and rich textures.

Tomorrow they perform the Sonatas at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
