Day 19

Wow, 100 days of blipping!
First, a HUGE thank you to Blip and it?s community. Not only has this been a fun way to explore photography more, it has introduced us to so many kind, warm-hearted people across the globe.

As many of you know, The Goose and I are teaching English in China for the year. We hope we have given you an accurate glimpse into our lives in a foreign land.

Currently, we are on day 19 of a month long paid vacation, discovering South East Asia. We will be visiting 4 countries in 4 weeks (Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, and Thailand).

That brings us to today?s blip. Our 100th blip couldn?t? have come on a more interesting day for us. In short, we rode on a 10 hour non air conditioned bus from Savannakhet, Laos, to the capital, Vientiane. We crammed ourselves on the back of the bus to find that for 10 hours, we would not really have seats to seat on, but cabbage. For this 100th blip, we probably sat on 100 heads of cabbage. Also, the bus floor was covered with yams. I could write a lot more here about this experience, but for that, I suggest you read our LATEST TRAVEL BLOG ENTRY, it is a detailed account of our cabbage ride.

Again, thank you all for making this one of the best online communities we have ever been a part of. We have not been able to reply to comments much as most of our internet connections come randomly and are 90% dedicated to contacting family and making reservations.

If you ever want to sit on cabbage for 10 hours in the heat, I can offer 100 helpful tips.

Much Love,

~The Gander
