Peace after the storm........

This was my mum's favourite rose
Since she died I always try and have one in my garden
This one is in a big pot on the roof, which doubles as my garden for the moment
I have neglected it this year, what with one thing and another
I haven't pruned it
And I keep forgetting to water it
All the leaves had gone brown
And I thought it had died

But then, news shoots appeared
And buds started to form
We had a huge hailstorm today
And I found this when I came home from work

It's obviously stubborn and single minded
Just like my mum :-)
