Gentleshaw Common

The sun came out briefly as we made our way home after going out to lunch and the light on the ferns and bracken was pretty spectacular.

This was taken on Gentleshaw Common, a Site of Special Scientific Interest which contains rare species of heathland plants.

This was the pic I really wanted to blip as I was sitting so close to Lang Lang yesterday evening at his recital in Symphony Hall, Birmingham.
