Monochrome Mackerel

I was skipper of a mackerel fishing/tripper boat locally for 9 years until the end of 2012 season and we had fresh mackerel pretty nearly every day during those summers, I even became quite proficient at smoking mackerel.
People occasionally ask me if I miss running the boat, but i usually reply with " the thing I miss the most is the fish!
I met one of the other mackerel fishing boatmen yesterday and managed to cadge these four beauties from him, and exchanged them for four of our lovely fresh hens eggs. which I think was a fair swap.
So they are the subject of my monochrome Blip for today.
