Bike ride at Ladybower

Risked an average forecast and went on a ride with friends as planned. The trip across Strines was stunning - the sun on the heather made everything look purple! Had a great ride round the Howden reservoirs - this pic is at the Dam Busters bridge / museum. Also wonderful views of Whin Hill.
The forecast was for light rain showers by 2 and heavy ones by 4 - but we were in Hathersage having a cuppa before the rain came at 4.20, so we did well. An early meal at the Strines Inn on the way back, and a spot of success at the European Athletics when we got in - great day!
