Chooks in the Pub.

We went up to the Hotel last night. The inside of the ceiling is all open and there are a few stuffed birds perched on some of the rafters and beams. I especially like these two (stuffed) chooks that roost above the bar. They look really life-like.
They were raising money for U.G.L.Y. bartender of the Year, run by the Leukemia Foundation to raise money for research. This was a cause which touched the hearts of all who were involved, as the publications wife has Leukemia.
The publication had his hair shaved into a mohawk and his moustache partly taken off. Extra money was given for each eyebrow!! His mohawk was sprayed purple! Our friend D, had his beard sprayed red, and his wife A, had her hair sprayed with a rainbow of colours. Others also lined up to get their heads saved or coloured.
In the morning we decided to go and see if it was ok for digging, as it had been raining a little bit during the night. By 9.45am we were out of there as the rain was getting heavier. It has rained just about all the time since.
This is the first rain they have had for 7 months. Not good for digging, but a life saver for everything else.
