So the boys presented two LEGO options and the plane won.

Two hours later, we were done. Really enjoyed just sitting there with them, doing very little else all day. Later, Reuben, had a mammoth catch up session on his journal which he's been writing all summer. From San Diego to Yosemite, there were gaps aplenty to fill but he's back on top at last. He's also almost finished his second grade maths book that I bought just to give him extra practice for the year ahead. Unlike me, he just gets maths and yet the process of actually teaching him has helped me too, seeing things from a new perspective and light.
