Pretty happy in pink

The weather gods have given us rain today. And some wind. Suddenly doesn't seem quite so summery, a small reminder that summer won't be lasting forever.

We took a visit to Waulkmill Bay, first time I have been there. The colours were amazing (when it wasn't peeing down!). We also timed it badly so were there at high tide, the beach is really vast when it's not covered by sea. Despite the rain and wind, it was a nice walk and as we returned to the car a break in the weather provided a chink of blue sky and a lift in the grey light.

PW headed back down the path a little to try and capture the azure sea colours against the heather. In the meantime I took some shots of Talisker in the heather. He is the happiest dog I know.
