Giant Cotton Bobbins

On my way home from work today I passed these seats in the shape of giant cotton bobbins.

They have been placed in Farrington in recognition of the huge spinning and weaving mill built in Farrington in 1840 by William Bashall and Willam Boardman.
Farrington Mill continued to produce high quality cotton goods till the early 1970's.
