A feast of peas

I had a womble pyjama case when I was wee and one summer I took it into the garden, filled it full of pea pods from the garden, took it up to my eve cupboard and feasted on peas and crunched all the pods.

My parents found out at about 3am or so because I had a sore belly and so on.....

Family joke now of course every time pea pods are mentioned the phrase 'green pea dyeeeyah' is mentioned and I am in mind - I was too young to say the word properly at that time.

Of course I still like peas - I've just eaten all these but my system can now cope :)
