Ardalanish Weavers Ross of Mull and Erraid

Journeyed south again today to the far end of the island . We wanted to walk across to the island of Erraid made famous by Robert Louis Stephenson in ' Kidnapped'. his family were lighthouse builders and lived there. We were careful of the tides and made our way on to the island across the sound walking past a herd of inquisitive cows and this worse for wear tractor.
Later we called at Ardalanish weavers where they have saved two 1950s looms from Huddersfiels complete with resident expert mechanic who is now in his 70's. A young girl explained all the processes and I was able to purchase some natural wools to crochet a project .
