Ear Screening, Cambodia

IMPACT Cambodia has been conducting Ear Screening at primary schools.
The latest report from the team there describes a visit to Kampong Os primary school, located in Dorng Kaum village in Ponhea Loeu district.

"Sadly, the school was very old and very small even though it is not far from Phnom Penh. There was only morning session with eight classrooms (four wooden classrooms) and the school is located along the river the school will be completely flooded during rainy season. While IMPACT Cambodia team was screening, 13 school children from another school also came for ear screening. The school directors was so thankful for there has never been any ear screening happened before at their schools and hoped to have this program continued."

Any children found to show any signs of hearing problems are either treated on the spot, or referred for further examination by our team.
