CannyScot's Day

By CannyScot

Swinging high

Bright, dry day but definitely getting colder.

It is the last couple of days of our grandchildren’s school holidays so we have taken them up with us to have an overnight stay in the Atholl Centre, Pitlochry. My wife, Eleanor, is a Trustee of this Christian Centre and there is a Trustee meeting on Tuesday morning. We have been involved with the Centre since 1977 when we brought children from the Royal Blind School in Edinburgh for an Adventure Holiday. This was the first of several visits of children from that School. My wife recently met one of the boys who had been on one of the holidays and who is now a Baptist Minister. He recognised her voice immediately. He credited the beginnings of his faith back to those days on holiday.

The girls loved playing in the local park. I was pleased, after several trials, to capture them both more or less looking forward at the same time.

We had a cup of tea in the famous Pitlochry Festival Theatre. If you would like to see a photo of this iconic building click here.
