thought provoking

A day out at the National Memorial Arboretum.
A whole day could be spent here and you still probably wouldn`t get to see all of it. If you don`t want to walk, there are trains that you can go on which take you round each of the different sections complete with a commentary.
The scale of the loss of lives is staggering and not just with the armed forces. All the Auxilliary forces from the army, navy and air-force an the civilian forces....we owe them all a huge debt of gratitude.
The Royal Naval Patrol Service lost a huge number of lives and the RAF is remembered with a beautiful memorial. This is a fairly recent addition and already the poppies have started to appear on it.
It`s well worth a visit, entrance is free and it costs £3 to park all day
