Weaving Detail

I seem to be hung up on texture and color themes recently - maybe the dismal weather forcing me to see this way. This is a macro shot of some very small detail in a table runner we purchased last year in Guatemala. I watched a mayan woman making an identical weaving to this one and was amazed at how she could weave this intricate pattern from memory with what appeared to be a very basic and primitive loom. Here is a shot of her with the finished product.
